ATTA GIRL AWARD

Director Pauline DeLong was presented with an ATTA GIRL AWARD at our July 21, 2017 Breakfast meeting. Pauline
received her award for her hard work as Chair of our Club Social Committee. The award was presented by President Jack and President Elect Bob.
 


KIWANIS BURSARY
Caitlyn Wile was presented with a Kiwanis bursary by Bursary Chair Melba Lantz at our August 18, 2017 Breakfast Meeting.
Caitlyn, who lives in Pleasantville, recently graduated from Park View Education Centre and is enrolled in a Bachelor of Science Program at Dalhousie University.

PLAYGROUND PRESENTATION
Gail Sinclair, South Shore Regional School Board Health and Safety Manager spoke to us at the September 22nd Breakfast Meeting regarding the playground at the Bridgewater Elementary School. Gail is a member of the committee raising funds to replace the playground equipment at the school.
The committee needs to raise $450,000.00. Funding is expected from various levels of government, corporate donors and service club donations. This playground is used by both the school and the community.

On October 11, 2017Past President Jack Logan , President Bob Shupe and photographer Fred Speth visited with Jimmy and Eileen Legay at their home. Past President Jack presented Jimmy is a Certificate of Appreciation for his hard work prior to and during his time as a member of our club.
You will be missed Jimmy.
